Environmental psychology studies how people experience their environment and are affected by it, and how they through their own behavior affect the environment.

The subject deals with both the physical and the social environment and the interaction between them. It can be interiors, urban spaces or landscapes.

The research is usually holistic, but also individual environmental factors are studied.
